TLL* ANENG DT-832 Simple Electrical Multimeter

Note: The acronym TLL denotes that this product is stocked in the Tallinn warehouse and is available for shipping to Estonia (EST), Finland (FIN), Latvia (LAT), and Lithuania (LIT).

An electrical multimeter is a straightforward and essential tool for every household. It allows for the measurement of all basic electrical indicators necessary for domestic tasks.

This includes checking whether batteries are depleted before disposal, verifying the charge of a car battery, diagnosing the cause of a power outage, or even assessing the mains voltage if light bulbs tend to burn out frequently.

Using the Electrical Tester: To measure the power level of batteries, turn the switch to DCV 20. A “full” AAA battery, for instance, should show approximately 1.5V; the red wire of the tester always points towards the “+” terminal. If the reading is negative, reverse the probes.

For household current, switch to ACV 750 to analogously assess the presence and polarity of the mains electricity, identifying errors when there is an interruption. Keep in mind: DC settings are for measuring batteries and accumulators (direct current), while AC settings are for the mains (alternating current).

Before using other sections of the multimeter, make sure you clearly understand their functions by consulting the manual, to prevent any damage to the device. A notable feature of the tester is its ability to measure the purity of alternating current waveforms (square wave) – a crucial option for those involved in selecting inverters.

Safety Note: When measuring electrical parameters, always follow safety guidelines to avoid personal injury or damage to the multimeter. Use the appropriate settings for the specific measurements you’re conducting, and refer to the user manual if you are uncertain about any of the tester’s functions.
