  If carbon dioxide (CO2) levels rise too high in a room, individuals may experience headaches, dizziness, and fatigue. Therefore, it’s advisable to install a CO2 monitor in rooms to alert occupants when to open windows or activate ventilation for improved air quality.

  Additionally, certain rooms pose a carbon monoxide (CO) hazard, such as those with wood-burning stoves or ovens, or rooms at risk of gas leaks. In such environments, carbon monoxide can leak into the air, particularly after extinguishing a wood-burning fire when residual coals may emit limited amounts of carbon monoxide.

  It’s important to be aware of the carbon monoxide concentration in rooms with such fireplaces, even if the levels are not yet sufficient to trigger a carbon monoxide detector.

  Modern WiFi CO CO2 meters can measure and display both carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide concentrations, allowing individuals to monitor and maintain healthy air quality in their rooms.

  To connect the device, a 2.4 GHz WiFi network is required. The free Smart Life app provides real-time measurements on Android or iOS phones and keeps a history of readings. Users can also set threshold values for CO2 and CO concentrations to receive alarms on their phones.
