How to Connect to Wi-Fi
Step 1: Install the battery; the device will automatically turn on. Please wait 30 seconds (the green light will flash about 30 times).
Step 2: Open the mobile app “Tuya” or “Smart Life,” click the “+” in the upper right corner, and select “Add Device.” Then, press the device four times in quick succession to put it into connection mode. The phone will automatically search for and discover it.
Step 3: Click “Add” and enter your Wi-Fi account and password (it only supports 2.4GHz frequency).
When connecting, keep your phone and device close to your router for a stronger signal, which will help complete the connection more quickly. If you do not know how to connect to Wi-Fi, you can view the operation video.
How to Test the Smoke Detector
In the smoke test, you can inhale a puff of smoke and then use a straw to spray the smoke into the side gap of the device, allowing the smoke to enter the interior. The sensor will recognize the smoke and issue an alarm sound. (Note: The 11 round holes on the surface are sound outlets.)
If the device malfunctions during use, please try replacing it with a new battery from another brand first, as the smoke sensor is a low-power device and can be sensitive to battery voltage.
According to feedback from most users, the battery is the cause of over 90% of issues. After installing the new battery, wait 30 seconds, then press the device once to let it automatically check all functions.
